Although this is a contest, it represents so much more. Ten home chefs contribute to The Great American Kitchen, eager to narrate our unique stories.

Evaluating This PBS Series

You genuinely cannot assess anyone in this aspect of a competition; it’s an individual expression we will each present. Nevertheless, the judges can evaluate us based on the preparation of those dishes and our resilience during the eight-series filming project.

Thus, the ten of us simply settled in, became companions who supported one another throughout. We have continued to be friends since the show was recorded, and each of us is certain that we all emerged victorious! We remained authentic to our heritage, and that renders us champions.

The judges of this program are Leah Cohen, Tiffany Derry, and Graham Elliot. Hosting duties are undertaken by Alejandra Ramos.

Every judge and the host were incredible to collaborate with, providing genuine guidance to each of us; both in front of and behind the camera.

Robin Daumit Is Participating In The Great American Recipe!

Occasionally, in life, something remarkable unexpectedly comes your way. It’s almost as if someone is waving a magic wand for you.

I received an invitation through social media, urging me to join the show. Initially, I considered it a hoax. But it was not!

The narratives, the dishes, the joy and sorrow that I will convey to America on national television are moments I never anticipated would become part of my life’s journey.

It is, and now I seek to share it with you.

The PBS Kitchen

Who could have imagined we would be cooking in a barn! Yet we did, and it was a newly constructed barn too!

At The Barns at Mattaponi Springs, located near Ruther Glen Virginia, this barn was established. The stunning estate is bordered by a lake and a fishing pond, and is adjacent to a PGA golf course.

Every morning we filmed, after completing COVID testing, with sound and mics attached to us, we donned our aprons knowing the day would be an adventure.

The kitchens, all ten of them, specially designed for us, were vibrant, illustrated with dashes of turquoise, and had nearly everything we needed within them. Almost (wink).
