Tea Latte Cocktail

Few things signal holiday cocktail time quite like something cozy, refined, and savored by the fire.

Indeed, Bourbon is a splendid drink to slowly enjoy on a chilly winter night, but let’s elevate it a bit and make it unforgettable!

During my childhood winters, I have the sweetest memories of indulging in a steaming cup of tea with milk and honey added.

Milk, which is actually what latte signifies in Italian, was typically dairy milk in our tea.

However, since I grew up in a home influenced by Mediterranean culture, we crafted our own Almond Milk, which I eventually preferred in my tea.

Chai Tea Latte

Have you ever wondered why chai latte has surged in popularity as soon as Autumn arrives? It’s all about the spices!

These are precisely the warm spices we crave most when it’s chilly outside.

Can you envision a better method to greet the ‘BER’ months than with a comforting cup of Chai Tea?

Just the thought of these spices:

  • Cinnamon
  • Ginger
  • Cloves
  • Nutmeg
  • Cardamom
  • Even a touch of pepper

Makes you want to snuggle up by a fire and sip something warm; so steep a couple of chai black tea bags in boiling water and create a delightful cold weather beverage.

Steeping Chai Tea

Mix in a bit of sweetener and either cream or almond milk, and you have a creamy latte to enjoy.

Chai Tea Spices

Are you a spice enthusiast, or do you know someone who enjoys exploring unique spice combinations?

If yes, I would recommend preparing a jar of chai spices (far more economical than purchasing pre-made), and keep them handy for various baking applications.

As Autumn begins, I always prepare a batch of Pumpkin Spice Blend, which tends to spike in price during this season.

Almost every spice for this mix is likely already in our pantry.

And while we’re on the topic of ‘creating your own spice blend’, you might as well prepare a jar of Za’atar, a remarkable spice blend for Middle Eastern cuisine.

This Bourbon Chai Tea Latte Cocktail is infused with the essence of warm spices, complemented by bourbon, and warmed in a malty black tea.

If you find yourself sipping this indulgent cocktail during the winter months, fireside, you certainly will desire an exotic cookie to pair with it!

And indeed, I’ve got the ideal exotic nibble for you, Pistachio Ouzo Cookies for an added contrast to an already enchanting sweet treat!

Cocktail Tea

Whether you are enjoying a drink solo, or have assembled a group of companions, this cocktail is simple to prepare the chai tea latte ahead of time.

It can be maintained warm in an insulated thermos and you can incorporate the bourbon as you pour for your visitors, or simply heat it before serving.

This cozy bourbon beverage is an ideal choice for a fire pit gathering, a film night at home, or a peaceful sip by the fire while enjoying your favorite tunes with a captivating book.

Elevate it or keep it simple, but take a moment to relax with a warm drink and reflect on the beauty of life!
