Step One
To create simple mushroom Mac and cheese, begin by boiling the pasta according to the directions on the package until it reaches an al dente consistency. Drain, rinse with cold water, and set aside for later use.
Step Two
In a large saucepan, melt 15g of butter over medium heat on the stove. I usually do this in the same pot where I cook the pasta.
Step Three
Introduce the mushrooms and sauté for 5 minutes until they are tender. It may appear to be a large quantity, but they will diminish significantly.

Mix in the garlic.

Take them out of the pot and place them aside. Don’t fret if there is some mushroom juice and butter left in the pan. Keep it.
