Black and White Bean Soup Recipes
Black and White Bean Soup is a white bean combined with chicken or a robust black bean with chili recipes; two soups as distinct as black and white yet both quick to prepare.
Prepare two speedy, yet unique soups for game-day festivities; a perfect method to cheer for both teams!
Black or White Bean Soup Recipes
Hosting some friends for the game day? It doesn’t matter if it’s soccer, tennis, or the Olympics; we all have favorites we wish to triumph.
Frequently, I discover a similar scenario when selecting good eats for a gathering; not everyone prefers to dine the same way anymore.
I concluded that with so much rivalry happening on the screen, why let the food become a contest as well!
Thus, with a swift soup base, I created both white bean and black bean soup, offering something for everyone.
And if choosing between a black or white soup wasn’t exciting enough to choose sides, I baked a Black Olive Bread that everyone would adore!
Game Day Black and White Good Eats
Certainly, there will be an abundance of dips, chips, and vegetable sticks, and of course, plenty of beer and wine.
However, I aimed to ensure there was also something substantial, nourishing, and nutritious to eat as well.
I decided Yin and Yang would be my concept for some hearty fare. Spicy hot black bean soup – Yang, and a delicately flavored white bean and chicken soup – Yin.
A massive loaf of Black Olive homemade bread was the ideal bread to unify the two. The bread is prepared earlier in the week, prior to the game day gathering.
Homemade bone broth is always stored away in my freezer, allowing these two contrasting soups to come together swiftly and be left on the stove until ready to serve, or have guests serve themselves.
Black Bean Soup
Black Bean Soup for my Yang soup is brimming with flavor. The earthy essence of Black Rice and Black Beans combined with spicy chilies and smoked salt, make this an ideal hot dish for a chilly night!
While you can incorporate dried chili flakes for a pinch of heat, freshly chopped chilies provide not only some spiciness but a fresh zest that dried ones lack.
Lately, I have often stored an overflow of chilies in my freezer from my summer gardens.
I adore the additional layer they contribute to various yin dishes, and I’ve begun smoking and drying my own Paprika from them.
White Bean Soup
Using some leftover chicken or a store-bought rotisserie chicken, this White Bean and Chicken Soup comes together in no time.
White beans possess a subtle taste and soft consistency, making them perfect for pairing with poultry or simply a mound of vegetables in a rich soup broth.
What You Will Require To Create Black and White Bean Soup
You will simply need
the recipes for both of these Black or White Soups, and some crusty bread, or prepare my Olive bread.
Both soup recipes are designed to accommodate between two and four individuals, so just multiply the recipes if your gathering requires!
Black And White Dessert?
Well… how about brown and beige! My preferred cookie combination features a square, checkerboard interlaced dough infused with both coffee essence and chocolate baked into the two hues.
I would argue the ideal dessert for a black and white bean soup meal would be these Chocolate and Coffee Cookies!
