Brazilian Health Smoothie – Saude do Brasil
Brazilian Health Smoothie, featuring its unprocessed vegetables and nutrient-packed fruits, gained popularity in Brazil long before I encountered smoothies here in the United States.
American Health Smoothie
It wasn’t until 2006, when I relocated to Brazil for a few years, that I had previously never been introduced to a smoothie. There were no establishments or stalls offering smoothies as we understand them today.
Milkshakes were the nearest resemblance to a smoothie I had experienced.
Well… of course, the occasional blender concoction for a Pina Colada, crafted with pineapple juice, coconut milk, and generous doses of rum.
In America, blenders primarily served to puree sauces or concoct cocktail bases, but using them for everyday health beverages… was still yet to emerge.
Even the Magic Bullet blender had only just launched in 2003, but even then, it wasn’t widely embraced for pureeing raw vegetables meant for consumption.
Needless to say, once I dived into the health advantages of smoothies, I became enthusiastic about crafting as many as the seasons could provide:
- Detox Green Smoothie – This Detox Green Superfood Smoothie recipe boasts a flavorful blend of pineapple, mint, kefir, and kale. Ideal as a meal supplement or alternative.
- Healthy Kids Fruit Smoothies – Fruit and Veggie Smoothies for Kids serve as an excellent method to sneak in nutritious elements into their diets, all while letting them perceive it as a treat!
- Brazilian Protein and Fruit Smoothie Bowl – Nutritionally balanced smoothie bowls, initially developed in Brazil, are now savored here in the United States.
Brazilian Health Smoothie
Health – ‘Saude’ – Diligent Brazilians, along with their health beverages, educated me on everything I needed to understand about consuming raw vegetables with fruits, herbs, and protein supplements.
Every shopping center and city street across Brazil in 2006 featured a kiosk overflowing with vegetables and fruits for smoothie preparation.
Approach the kiosk, select your blend, perhaps add extras to enhance your health, like a scoop of protein rich bovine powder, and continue with your day.
Brazilian Health Bovine Powder
Protein abundant bovine powder, with more cattle than citizens in Brazil, resulted in some of the finest animal protein powders I’ve ever tasted.
Now that I am back in the U.S., I still incorporate them into my morning beverage every single day.
It was in Brazil where I enjoyed my inaugural smoothie bowl, famously known as an acai bowl.
Acai, resembling a reddish-purple berry, boasts higher antioxidant levels than cranberries and most other berries.
The Acai bowl has long been a staple in Brazil. Now it’s becoming popular among Americans.
Best Health Smoothie
Let’s face it, we could easily savor a generous bowl of everything we blend into a smoothie, perhaps even relish the act of chewing it!
I often opt to alternate with a Homemade Granola, combined with yogurt and fresh fruits.
However, let’s also be truthful; there are items we…
might sip on in a smoothie we might not typically opt to munch on, particularly kids; which motivated my recipe for Grandma’s Sneaky Meatballs!
The finest health smoothies are those you will genuinely drink!
The higher the quantity of raw vegetables, the superior. The fewer sweeteners, the superior.
Protein enhancements, whether plant-based or animal, are an excellent method to incorporate a vast array of health foods into your system in one substantial cold beverage with a straw.
AND, it’s a portable health food, similar to my Salads In A Jar!
Beet and Carrot Brazilian Smoothie
Beterraba e Cenoura – Beetroots and Carrots. The primary health advantage of this Brazilian Health Smoothie is … well, Everything!
Beetroots are most recognized for supporting digestive wellness, packed with fiber and a fantastic natural solution for managing IBS, constipation, diverticulitis, and many other digestive concerns.
Due to the stunning colorant, it possesses various anti-inflammatory traits; therefore, I would advise utilizing the red beet instead of the golden beet for this reason.
Carrots, similar to beets, are abundant in fiber, but they are also rich in calcium and vitamin K, both crucial for bone wellness.
Carrots also offer considerable health advantages from their carotene antioxidant properties.
How To Prepare Saude do Brasil – A Brazilian Health Smoothie
Initiate by peeling the skins from the beets, ginger, and carrots and then grating, chopping, or grinding them.
Next, a bit of sweetness comes from a ripe banana and a dash of sweet juice from a few strawberries.
All ingredients are combined in a powerful blender, along with some ice and water, then blend until a smooth, creamy, luscious smoothie is prepared for you to enjoy for your health!
